Our club, the Cronulla Sharks Rugby League Football Club, has been a part of the fabric of the Sutherland Shire and the National Rugby League (NRL) since 1967.

With 2016 our most successful year to date, having been crowned NRL premiers for the first time in our club's 50 years of operation.

The Club will also feature in the NRLW competition in season 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for our club as we look to build on the pathway we currently provide to aspiring female players, staff, and officials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day administration and operational requirements for our NRLW team and all Female Pathway Programs
  • Recruitment of NRLW Squad and players for all Female Pathway Programs
  • Management of NRLW Salary Cap and associated compliance
  • Management of NRLW & Female Pathway budgets
  • Recruitment and management of NRLW & Female Pathway Programs support staff
  • Work closely with Cronulla Junior Rugby League to a develop sustainable Female Pathway system from Under 6’s to NRLW

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for the role will preferably have:

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience working in Rugby League Football Operations
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of elite female Rugby League talent pool and recruitment of players
  • Demonstrated understanding of NRLW or NRL Salary Cap and associated rules
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Female Rugby League Pathway system
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets of Rugby League programs
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to individuals and groups
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strategic networks
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

This position is bound by the Sharks Group Players and Staff Vaccination policy; Therefore, the successful candidate must be fully vaccinated to comply with the policy and fulfil the requirements of the role.

You will be required to work outside normal business hours and weekends as required, given the nature of the role.
