About the Role

British Cycling is considered the best in the world in international competition. We now have an exciting new opportunity for an appropriately experienced individual to work as a part of a small Operations Team responsible for providing a range of effective and efficient administrative services to both internal and external customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Operate essential central office services including printing and stationery, mail, couriers, office cleaning, catering, security, maintenance, waste disposal, recycling, in addition to other general office and professional services as required, ensuring that basic supplies and services are always available.
  • Deal with incoming phone calls and emails from multiple inboxes, distributing them in a timely manner to the relevant persons/departments.
  • The administration of the organisation’s vehicle fleet and drivers including driving licence checking and team travel requests and dealing with short term hire requests.
  • Assist staff with the hot desk and meeting room booking system when needed.
  • Carry out administrative and project-based tasks as required.
  • Offer secondary support to the Operations and Insurance Executive and Administrator on British Cycling’s insurance work, including answering calls on the member Incident Helpline, ad hoc monitoring insurance inboxes and other insurance-related administration tasks where required

What you need:

  • Minimum of Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification and/or compensatory work experience
  • Experience of working within a busy, diverse, target driven working environment
  • Evidence of achievement within an internal service / support environment
  • IT Literate- with working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to be proactive and use own initiative
