British Canoeing is the UK Governing Body for Paddlesports. We have had many advances in our sport and canoeing now covers a wide range of interests and passions as a sport and a leisure activity for all.
Role Purpose
The overall purpose of the Fundraising and Marketing Lead role is to develop commercial and fundraising partnerships, with the aim of increasing the organisation’s income and significantly raising the profile of the Canoe Foundation.
The person will have a key role in delivering our long-term fundraising strategy, build key customer relationships, identify commercial opportunities and maintain knowledge of current market conditions. The role will require the individual to work within the Places to Paddle Team, ensuring close alignment with the Clear Access, Clear Waters Campaign and British Canoeing, Stronger Together Strategy. It will also require work across the wider British Canoeing team to maximise opportunities for the Foundation to increase donations and make grant awards.
The role will be required to forge new relationships with external partners through frequent account management and explore the potential for delivering added-value partner benefits.
The role will also be required to develop engaging content to reach key audiences, as well as provide guidance and administrative support to the volunteer trustees in delivering a grants programme.
Working pattern: Part time – 22.5 hours per week over three days
