The Role of the Commercial Operations Executive

Brentford FC has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Operations Executive. The Commercial Operations Executive will work with the Commercial Operations Manager to provide material support in the planning and delivery of various commercial commitments and obligations relating to our players, coaches and senior club executives.

The successful candidate will work with both Off-Field and On-Field departments to ensure that all appearances are delivered in a way that ensures that all relevant stakeholders have a positive experience. In addition, they will also assist with the planning and delivery of training ground visits for both fans, Club partners and other guests. The Commercial Operations Executive will also deliver signed merchandise requests as well as fulfil First Team Player ticket requests across all First Team Men’s fixtures.

Main Accountabilities

  • Work with Off-Field departments to ensure commercial commitments and obligations are planned and delivered successfully. This includes, but is not limited to, servicing the needs of the following departments: Partnerships, Marketing, Fan Relations and Community Outreach, Content, Editorial, Public Affairs, EDI and Brentford Community Sports Trust
  • To ensure compliance from Off-Field and On-Field staff as per the Commercial Operations Policy
  • Work collaboratively with the Football Department to deliver our commercial commitments whilst continuing to prioritise Football and performance
  • Communicating with players, coaches and senior club executives about their upcoming commercial commitments, ensuring they understand all necessary details
  • To be responsible for ensuring all appearances and training ground visits are delivered in alignment with our safeguarding policy and delivered in a safe and secure manner
  • Assist on planning, communicating and delivering training ground visits, ensuring that participants receive a best-in-class experience
  • The fulfilment of signed merchandise requests and obligations
  • The fulfilment of First Team Player ticket requests for all fixtures

Person Specification - Essential Characteristic

  • Previous experience of working with high profile athletes in a high-performance, elite environment at a professional sports organisation
  • 1-2 years’ previous experience of planning, organising and delivering events
  • Understanding of the football landscape, particularly the importance of the delivery of obligations for Off-Field departments
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, pressurised, and dynamic environment.
  • Organisation skills and the ability to organise others
  • Able to work unsociable hours including weekends and evenings
