An exciting opportunity has arisen within ARC for a Regional Sales Manager in our West region. Based at Chepstow Racecourse this role will work as part of our national sales hub to oversee all sales opportunity (both in Racing and Events) for Chepstow, Ffos Las, Hereford and Worcester Racecourses.

Key duties:

  • Responding to incoming enquiries within the prescribed timescale with a professional and positive manner.
  • Maximizing profit from current clients, upselling and cross-selling where appropriate.
  • Recognizing the opportunity by always addressing client needs to provide the best commercial solution through the best fit experience.
  • Preparing accurate contracts within the set pricing parameters, consistent with the commercial model for specific course / race day / event.
  • Applying sales incentives where appropriate to convert sales within the commercial parameters set by the Group Events Sales Manager
  • Ensuring accurate and effective booking handover to the delivery teams who will be responsible for the operation of the experiences, continuing an effective and steady flow of communication.
  • Work with the marketing team to create innovative ideas to enhance our events business.
  • Ensure management systems are tightly controlled to ensure accurate customer data, pricing and costs are all in line.
  • Ensure the client portfolio is effectively managed, liaising with high-value clients as a senior point of contact.

The person we are looking for as a will have the following:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within an Event based sales environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a multi-site company
  • Gravitas, charisma and excellent people management skills
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Experience of managing line reports and diverse teams of people
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills
