We have a new position within our team as a Suspension Design Engineer. This position will be within our Engineering Office based in Enstone making a significant contribution to our performance.
Suspension Design Engineer - The Role & responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Suspension Design, you will own the engineering of complex components on the suspension, braking & steering systems, ensuring on-time delivery of metallic and composite parts that meet all performance and reliability requirements.
In close collaboration with the Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance & Structures groups you will be actively involved in defining the specification of each system. You will be responsible for the scheming, detailed 3D modelling and 2D drafting of parts & assemblies to the highest standard.
Participating in the elaboration of the Plan, you will proactively lead your projects to successful completion, managing your tasks and those of junior members of the team supporting you on the program.
You will have the opportunity to assist with first assembly and testing of the finished product in the Test & Validation Laboratory as well as its installation onto the Grand Prix car.
Suspension Design Engineer – The Person
The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree (2:1 grade and up).
Experience with CAD (such as Catia V5/3DX) in solid modelling and surfacing will be advantageous.
You must be self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision to deliver performant solutions.
A great aptitude for collaborative work and attention to detail are essential as well as a ‘hands-on’ approach backed-up by solid practical skills.
